The AI Sprint: how two weeks of training changes an entire department

80% of professionals in the Icelandic labour market use AI at work, but only 34% have received training from their employer (Viska 2025). The AI Sprint closes this gap in two weeks: hands-on training on your own tasks, automations built in your systems and a measurement on day 30. Here is exactly how it works.

00 / How it works

The sprint step by step

Week 1

Skills that stick, because practice happens on real tasks

The first week starts with three lectures for the whole department. They provide a shared foundation: what AI does well, where it fails and how to verify results. No predictions about the future, just ways of working. The core, though, is not the lectures but the workshops. We divide people into small groups by role, 8 to 15 people in each, and every group practises on its own tasks. Finance people work with financial data, the marketing department with marketing material, customer service with real customer enquiries. Everyone goes home with at least three working use cases in their own job. Safety is part of the core curriculum, not a disclaimer at the end. Before the sprint begins we shape a usage policy with your people: which data may go into which tools and when not to trust AI. This matters because research shows that untrained use can make experienced people slower and more confident in the wrong answer.

Week 2

We build automations with your teams

In the second week the focus shifts from individual skills to workflows. The teams choose the workflows that take up the most time, and we build the automations together, for real and in your systems. This is the difference between a course that ends with a folder of slides and a sprint that ends with working solutions. At the same time we train 2 to 4 in-house specialists, champions, who keep the development going after we leave. That is no coincidence: 95% of corporate AI projects deliver no measurable results, usually because people get the tools but not the ownership (MIT NANDA). Champions are the answer to the month after the course. The time cost is about 2 to 3 hours a day for two weeks. Because the exercises are done on participants' real tasks, the work is not lost; most people are net positive on time by the end of the first week.

Day 30

You get your own numbers

Before the sprint we measure the baseline: how long the selected workflows take today. On day 30 we measure again, same workflows, same people. You get the results in black and white along with a 90-day roadmap. Research gives us a benchmark for what is realistic: 25 to 56% faster completion of individual tasks and about 40% higher quality (Harvard/BCG 2023). The greatest improvement is measured among those with the least experience, about 43% (Harvard/BCG 2023). And some of the workflows we automate do not just get faster, they disappear entirely. We do not promise that everyone will become "10x". That is why we measure at your company, before and after, instead of pointing to statistics from foreign reports.

The price: fixed price, no hourly rates, no extensions

The sprint is sold at a fixed price based on the size of the department. Everything is included: lectures, workshops, usage policy, automations, champions training and the measurement on day 30.

02 / Pricing

Fixed price. No hourly rates. No extensions.

Small department

Up to 30 people2.9 million ISK~97,000 ISK per participant2 weeks, everything included
Recommended

Medium department

Up to 75 people4.9 million ISK~65,000 ISK per participant2 weeks, everything included

Large department

Up to 150 people7.9 million ISK~53,000 ISK per participant2 weeks, everything included

For comparison, an open 18-hour AI course for managers costs 299,000 ISK per person. Vocational training funds can also reimburse a large share of the training cost.

Trial day

A full-day hands-on workshop for one team (10–25 people). A good way to start small.

from 690,000 ISK

AI partner

A monthly subscription after the sprint: office hours, tool monitoring and continued automation.

from 490,000 ISK/month

For comparison, an open 18-hour AI course for managers costs 299,000 ISK per person. For the price of ten such seats you get an entire department trained, automations built in your systems and measurable results.

If you want to start smaller, a trial day is available: a full-day hands-on workshop for one team, 10 to 25 people, from 690,000 ISK.

Vocational training funds pay a large share, we handle the application

The training part of the sprint qualifies for grants from the vocational training funds. Starfsafl, for example, reimburses companies up to 90% of training costs, capped at 4 million ISK per year, and the funds for office workers offer comparable terms. The company's real cost can therefore be a fraction of the list price.

Entitlements depend on the employees' unions, so they need to be mapped out for each company individually. That is exactly one of the things we do in the free assessment: we tell you precisely which grants are available to you and prepare the application for you.

What you can do right now

  • Pick the department with the most untapped potential. Look at where repetitive text and data work is greatest: customer service, finance or marketing are the most common answers. Write down three tasks that everyone in the department does every week.
  • Take a baseline measurement yourself. Ask two employees to log for one week how long those three tasks take. Without a baseline you can never prove the results of any training, no matter who provides it.
  • Check the company's fund entitlements. Look up your staff's unions and see on attin.is which vocational training funds apply. A reimbursement of up to 90% of training costs changes every calculation.
