Q&A: everything managers ask about the AI Sprint

Before managers book an AI Sprint, they almost always ask us the same six questions: about time, prior knowledge, data, past disappointments, price and how staff react. Here are the answers, the same ones you would get in a meeting, without the sales talk.

00 / Q&A

Every question taken seriously

This is the most common question, and it is a fair one. The answer: about 2 to 3 hours a day for two weeks. Not whole days, not people pulled out of operations. The key point is that the exercises are done on participants' real tasks. The finance people practise on the reconciliation they had to finish anyway, the marketing department on the campaign that is already running. Time spent in training is therefore not a pure cost but work that pays off the same day. Most participants are net positive on time by the end of the first week: the tasks they now complete faster pay back the training time. For comparison, a Harvard and BCG field experiment with 758 consultants showed 25 to 56% faster completion of individual tasks among trained users (Harvard/BCG 2023). Two weeks against that difference is a short payback period.

What you can do right now

  • Write down your own three objections. Time, data, price, something else? Send them to us at hallo@vestra.is and you will get straight answers, not a brochure.
  • Ask your CFO which unions your staff belong to. That determines which vocational training funds are an option, and the answer can be found in five minutes.
  • Try the Copilot question on your own company: if you have already bought AI subscriptions, ask three users what they do differently today compared with before the purchase. If the answer is "not much", the problem is training, not the tools.
